Commision for OnLinedPaper

Description

I did this for an excellent little story. It was very very worth it.

Here's the commision details:
"O-kay! The details for the actual drawing itself are as follows, starting from the back: it has an adjustable stock with 2 telescoping poles as support. These attach at the main housing of the projectiles; this has four ridges in it (to vent excess heat when the gun overheats, as it does after 6 shots.) Just after this is where the grip connects to the gun. It's a pistol grip with a full hand guard (and some supplemental shielding to prevent burns when the gun vents) and an overlarge trigger. The main barrel of the gun is a black tube that is 1/2 the size of the housing: very narrow in proportion, so it has a support bar running across the top (this also provides a means of transport for coolant to the front of the gun.) At the very end of the barrel, the gun has another attachment; this is as thick as the housing itself, cylindrical, and has a mesh-style opening at the end, like on a AA gun's outer housing. This has a small laser sight on the bottom."

Hopefully I did that right. It's been a while since I did work on a weapon.

Now to quote the part about how it works.
"And now, the irrelevant bits! The gun functions a lot like the Nosphen, with the difference being that a plasma cloud is created in the front attachment at the end of the barrel. The metal projectile(s) are launched via a primitive railgun, shoot through the black tube, and plow through the plasma cloud at the end, vaporizing themselves as they do. This generates more of a plasma cloud that flings liquid metal at targets than an actual shotgun blast - but is no less deadly. The gun's main problem, aside from relatively short range, is that it overheats really fast, so the whole of the device not concerned with actually shooting is designed to draw heat away from it as quickly as possible."

*grins and nods approvingly* precisely what I had on my mind, and startlingly close to what I drew. Very well done, indeed! Thanks again for doing this for me - on an aside, have you ever considered an actual job doing graphic design? If, y'know, that isn't what you already do?
